ANOTHER MS update might help...also a repair (booted from the install CD)...an upgrade installation of the same OS (if your media allows)...followed by MS updates...possibly an uninstall of AntiVirus/Firewall applications..malware scan... Updating Punkbuster surprisingly fixed it. I have the same problem and it only happens in those two games.

just like why would it do it once game is installed. you also must allow for ingame downloading. I just finished running Furmark to make sure it wasn't GFX card related. If it ONLY happens when playing in PB enabled servers...then PB sounds like the culprit.

Which has made me think that it maybe is loose hardware.
