I watch netflix a lot and with 32bit quality was perfect, last night with 64bit and hdd spinning quality suffered for about 35 mins then magically it sounded like my system So I say it is worth a shot to turn off system restore and see what happen. Maybe it is infiltrated into the OS kernel as a device driver, maybe it stores information directly on disk sectors out of files to hide it etc. –pabouk Dec 19 '13 I can't figure out what my hdd would be doing for this long.
