Followed the instruction. Thanks Potric I don't know how this worked or what I just did. Tip of the hat! Check This Out And I have another gripe with these idjits: When I ran the pnputil command to fix the problem, it was obvious that the install was different from the very start because

I couldn't wait to get back here to reply. I haven't been able to get SP1 working for the last couple of years and would give it a go every now and then with the 100's of different 'fixes' online I didn't need to do the sfc command because the setupapi.dev.log already had that error in it several times. Crazy Microsoft. I havn't installed any programs either, not even anti virus. Thanks so much for this post! I too was frustrated with trying every possible fix I could find - all to no avail.

I'm considering doing a Winows 7 repair install, which hopefully will repair that file, but I also wondered if there is a way to get this particular usbvideo.inf file somewhere else You can copy the program on a CD, Dban program is very easy to use.
